Olympic sexism is an authorial illustration about the sexist comments by the head of the Tokyo Olympics organising committee, Yoshiro Mori, who said that meetings with women are too long because they "have a hard time" finishing their speeches.
Other sexist phrases she said to the press:
"Boards of directors with many women take a long time."
"If we increase the number of female board members, we have to make sure their speaking time is restricted somewhat, they have difficulty finishing, which is annoying."
"Women have the spirit of competition. If one raises her hand (to speak), the others think they should also express themselves. That is why they all end up talking."
"We have about seven women at the organising committee, but everyone understands their place."
Due to the controversy, with a huge reaction inside and outside Japan, Yoshiro Mori went public to apologize and ask for his resignation days later.
